Suzuki RM description

1978 Suzuki RM 400 -C. Engine has a new top end .25 over. Excellent compression and about 45min run time on new engine.Over all I would say this bike is in decent to very good condition. It starts easily and runs fine with no issues. I intended to trail ride with it BUT acquired a DRZ 400-S and so I don't need it.There is no title, I will provide a bill of sale upon request.

It has new front and rear Maier fenders ( for RM 370 I like the look better ) new uni air filter element, new seat cover, new straight pull throttle, new grips and a brand new folding shift lever. This would make a great rider/racer OR and incredibly easy museum quality restoration.

Other stuff- The kick start lever I do not believe to be original. It works fine but looks like maybe it came from a different model, the rear shocks are from a 1980 RM 250 and do not leak and have good dampening. Also, the rear brake pedal works fine  but needs to be repaired or replaced to be 100% correct. There is supposed to be a small metal loop that holds the rear brake cable and it is missing

I encourage anyone interested to come look at it in person, fire it up and poke and prod!

MotoGP should return to Suzuka

Thu, 14 Jul 2011

Suzuka was always one of the great circuits; unfortunately the Japanese track was dropped following the tragic death of Daijiro Kato in 2003 as the course was deemed too tight and dangerous for the rapid four-strokes. Owned by Honda, Suzuka is a magical place combining arching S-bends from the start of the lap, high-speed in the middle and finished off with the technical and oft racing deciding final chicane, the location of many fantastic last lap battles. However the death of Kato, and Honda’s major hope of a Japanese champion, placed a dark cloud over the 5.807 kilometres of tarmac.

2014 WSBK – Sepang Results

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Arlington Results

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
