Vintage 1968 Triumph Bonneville T120R 650cc - Numbers Matching Project Rebuilt Bike is in overall good shape for its age. This was a project that was abandoned at some point. I believe the previous owner got the frame powder coated and rebuilt the engine. Looking through the spark plug hole, I saw that the pistons are .010 over, and are brand new. Valve guides are new as well. All of which leads me to believe that this motor is in fact rebuilt. It may need a gasket kit to be safe. To make this bike a roller, I installed new fork tubes, seal holders and seals, and converted the neck bearings to the tapered roller style. Rear shocks are vintage Koni pieces. Tank and fender match, and tank is very clean inside. I bought this to build into a scrambler, but it's now taking up space in the garage. I have a clean, notarized AZ title from the previous owner. Recall for 2011 Triumph Tiger 800, 800XC Accessory Center Stands
Mon, 29 Aug 2011Triumph is recalling accessory center stands for the 2011 Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC because of a defective return spring. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the return springs on the accessory center stand for the Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC may not always return to its original length, potentially leading to a loose center stand and a fracture in the spring wire. Riders may detect a rattling sound from the loose stand and in the case of a fractured spring, a scraping sound caused by the center stand dragging along the road.

Fri, 15 Oct 2010I should have filed this blog an hour earlier but I became distracted by the human circus that is the Jeremy Kyle show. It’s a shameful admission, I know, but I’m a firm believer in the policy of honesty being the best. Enjoying the luxury of working from home, I was only making myself a bacon sandwich with the TV on in the background when excited cries of ‘Freak, Freak!’ from Mrs MF drew my attention to this (see pic).
