Triumph's awesome 1215cc three cylinder is mated to a smooth shifting 6 speed gearbox and low maintenance shaft drive. This bike features a ride-by-wire throttle system incorporating a true electronic cruise control - great for logging those highway miles. Off road, the bike is surprisingly nimble with good ergonomics and a wide, predictable power band. Whether long distance touring or back roads cruising, the Explorer is right at home. This bike has also been fitted with Triumph's lockable and removable dynamic luggage and Triumph's adjustable tall screen kit to help customize the windshield's height no matter whose in the saddle. Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.

Tue, 22 May 2012PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.
