You are bidding on a nice 1972 Yamaha 175 CT-2 Enduro. This bike is a very clean original with 3440 miles. Has been well kept and cared for, no disappointments. Comes with a brand new, clean, NOS gas tank, installed. New rear sprocket and chain. No dents anywhere on the bike. Runs well and lots of fun to ride. Seat has been recovered. The tires are old and need to be replaced. All the chrome is shiny and rust free. Speedometer and Tachometer work properly, Headlight and tail light work properly, but will need a new headlight switch. Take a look at the pictures, they are the best description of the bike. Any questions, ask before you bid. Payment in Full is due within 3 days after the end of auction, by Cashier's Check or Cash. Pickup or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and must be completed within 5 days of the end of auction unless prior arrangements are made. I will not personally ship or transport the bike. Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009

With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.

Schwantz Headlines 2012 Isle of Man TT Parade Lap

Former 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz headlines a star-studded group of racers taking part in a parade lap during the 2012 Isle of Man TT. Schwantz leads the group of six racers, past and present, selected by helmet-maker Arai to take part in the parade lap of the Isle of Man’s Mountain Course. Schwantz has visited the Isle of Man before, but this will mark his first closed lap of the circuit.

3J’s Charity Track Day Raises $30k

Since 2003, 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days have generated nearly $450,000 for charity. This year, the event’s 20th annual, 3J’s raised more than $30,000 for Speedway Children’s Charities. Nearly 120 riders converged on Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California for a day of riding around the 12-turn, 2.28-mile road course.
