1981 Yamaha XS 1100 Special 80's Super bike This bike is a blast to ride, Very smooth engine and drive shaft, 95 Horse power advertised when new. Low miles 6841 and is in Excellent Condition for its age, small nicks and scratches, some show in pictures some do not. Oil changed, have New Michelin Commander II tires with 150 miles. Vintage Vetter Fairing and Trunk complete with all Mounting brackets, Manual with instructions, Keys and wiring, was on bike when I bought it. Everything works, Starts, Runs, shifts and clutches as it should, has excellent throttle response with the CV Carbs. Please review my pictures and ask any questions you may have, review my feedback as seller ,( I have no intention to mislead anyone.) 2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
Colin Edwards Joins Forward Racing CRT Squad for 2012
Fri, 02 Sep 2011Colin Edwards will join the Forward Racing team to compete in the 2012 MotoGP season as a Claiming Rule Team entry. Edwards, known as a good development rider and an even better quote machine, is the first rider to officially sign on with a CRT. Forward Racing may be more familiar to some race fans by its former name, Hayate Racing, the outfit that ran the Kawasaki ZX-RR with Marco Melandri in 2009 after Kawasaki pulled out of MotoGP racing.
2013 Yamaha XJ6, XJ6 Diversion Updated for European Market
Thu, 30 Aug 2012Yamaha has revealed an updated version of its XJ6 including its faired Diversion and Diversion F versions for the European market. The XJ6 models were first introduced in Europe in 2009 as the latest member of Yamaha‘s XJ series and a replacement for the FZ6 as a middleweight all-arounder. In recent years however, Yamaha Motor USA decided to keep the slightly sportier FZ6R in its lineup and pass on the XJ6 models.
