This is a great bike. I have used for several years, a 2003 model with backrest chest, full faring and saddle bags. 50 plus MPG. I have owned since 2009 then had 7200 miles on it now 73,000 miles just broke in. This brand of bike get well over 100,00 miles easy. Will meet serious offers within 100 miles for $50 charge up front. This bike is an 8 out of 10 and has been will maintained, Time to send to a good home that will love as much as I have, would keep just to many hobbies. it has a scratch on right bag near lock bag popped open on one trip you can see in last photo or on zoom. Charley Boorman Tours Canada for New Series
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Actor and adventure rider Charley Boorman is getting ready for another journey, this one taking him across the Great White North on a tour of Canada. Best known for his Long Way Round and Long Way Down documentaries with his friend and riding partner Ewan McGregor, Boorman is touring Canada for a new series called Extreme Frontiers: Canada for the U.K.’s Channel 5. BMW Motorrad Canada will provide Boorman with his ride, likely from its GS line.

BMW Recalls 4,453 Motorcycles and Scooters for Side Stand Switch Problem
Thu, 13 Mar 2014BMW has initiated a recall on several motorcycle and scooter models because of a problem with the side stand switches failing in wet conditions. The recall affects 4,453 vehicles from the 2013 model year including the C600 Sport and C650GT scooters, F700GS, F800GS, F800GS Adventure, F800GT, R1200R and R1200GS. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water may enter the side stand switch on affected vehicles from riding in wet conditions or even from vigorous washing.
