This RT has some wear and tear on it, but runs well and sound good. It should have quite a few miles left in it. It has a Remus muffler. The right mirror needs replaced. There are chips in the fairing and fender paint. The ABS light will not go out and it appears the ABS is nonfunctional. The windshield raises and lowers. It comes with saddlebags. BMW R1100GS Loaded for Adventure Travel (1999)
Motorcycle has 107,000 miles, fully equipped for Dual Sport Touring and in excellent mechanical condition. Burns no oil, has always had Mobil 1 since break in, all maintenance when required and current with spline lube last winter. Maintenance records come with photos of the periodic maintenance. Lots of power, doesn't need any work but could use tune up like sync carbs. In Alaska I road with another BMW GS that had 180,000 miles and no sign of wearing out. Excellent road touring bike and for long distances on dirt roads. High load capacity with lots of torque for long distances in comfort. Bike had had only two owners who have both taken the bike to Alaska and are BMWMOA members. Up for bids is a 1980 BMW R100RT 1000cc boxer sport touring twin. This machine was brought into our shop for an oil change by a customer who had just purchased it. Sadly, the customer died while the bike was here......it wasn't here THAT long. Has had the following done recently within 20 miles or so: New Dunlop D404 tires & tubes; 100/90/19 front; 110/90/18 rear; $301.00 combined retail New Brown (brand) side stand; $160 retail Oil & filter change; $45.00 combined retail New aftermarket wind screen We looked over the bike quickly in order to prepare for selling it. It needs: Rear shocks shot.....will INCLUDE a believed to be good used pair off the same model Rear brake disc and left front brake disc are worn Will need a battery but we jumped it and were able to ride the machine Seems to run and drive OK, engine sounds good Krauser bags in decent shape, but WILL NOT FIT because the mufflers have been changed to aftermarket and they're too high We have the lower center fairing piece that is missing in the picture. The bike also has a Reynolds ride-off centerstand and a Reynolds rear rack with Krauser trip trunk. We also have the original right-hand inner fairing pocket lid. Has aftermarket pocket lids. Had a radio in the left pocket at one time and there is a hole drilled in the fairing for an antenna. The bike has a lot of scuffs and scratches, but nothing major is broken. 2005 R1200RT (2005)
I am the second owner purchased through a 3rd party after first owner put the bike down. Nose panel, right side logo panel, mirror and side case were replaced. Also swapped out the following parts from a 2006 bike with 24000 miles to upgrade existing: rotors, final drive, ESA shock. Cases have some scratches as does the right valve cover. Locks do not match on cases but can be rekeyed. Cruise control switch does not work but cruise is on and works as should. Otherwise, bike has been very well maintained. I drove last year for 3000 miles with absolutely no problems. Added Sargent Seat and bar risers. Seats are heated but I have not hooked up as they did not come with factory plug. Only able to put a couple hundred miles on this year and daughter in college so need to sell. Great chance to get a very good bike at a reasonable price. This motorcycle needs to used. I have owned it 1988. It came from “Cue” at House of Triumph in Elmsford NY with 68,000 miles on the clock.. It has always been my second bike, lightly used and garaged. Weekend rides have added about 6000 miles. It now shows just over 74,000 miles. In the fall of 2011 it underwent substantial mechanical restoration at Max BMW (Brookfield Ct) which included rebuilding carburetors, draining and cleaning fuel tank, new brake pads and rotors at the front and new brake shoes at the rear, new center stand, air filters, new throttle and choke cables, new horns, new fluids (fork, brakes, new top-end seals. 2001 BMW GS1150R--Great Condition (2001)
Many after market extras. New windshield, leather seats, Jessie Bags, crash bar, new grips, LED dash lamps. Well maintained and runs great. Overall great condition. There are some very minor scratches on the tank, and some rust in the joints of the handlebars. 1995 bmw r1100gs in excellent conditions road ready very nice (1995)
This is a 1995 BMW R 1100GS motorcycle. This bike was a new motorcycle trade in, I am a wholesale dealer. This is one of the true multipurpose bikes that is available today. It can cruise at 70 plus or ride the fire roads under most conditions. This bike appears to never been in any severe off road excursions as there is no rust or corrosion on the bike. Everything works. The pipes are not rusted and the wheels are excellent. The tires are 50%. The bike has hard bags and a rear luggage carrier. There is a headlight guard and a windscreen. The battery has just been replaced by the local bmw dealer so the bike is ready to go. The paint is excellent with just a few very minor marks on the bike. BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
