The seatpan is fiberglass with new seat upholstery. I've put 200 miles on it since resto.

Hello and welcome to the auction for my 1989 Honda GB500 factory cafÃ© racer in stunning condition with only 7891 original miles. This GB500 fires up with the electric start or you can use the kick starter and warms up quickly and also has a very nice growl thanks to the custom exhaust system, also the bike runs through all 5 gears flawlessly. The original paint still holds a very high luster and looks excellent, The chrome is excellent, the aluminum wheels, side cases and forks looks great and show very little wear considering the bikes age. The seat is perfect, and the rear cowl is in very good condition and is not cracked but it does show signs of stress by the right side bolt.

At the Motodays show in Rome, Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin, featuring Dakar styling, technical innovations and a price tag that surpasses the exterior of the motorcycle in severity. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.

Honda has patented its development in the field of interactive technologies that prevent accidents, following BMW. The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.

The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.
