Fri, 29 Oct 2010

I headed up the M1 this week to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley. The Speed Triple was due its 12000 mile major service and the workshop also had some new shiny bits to add to the bike for me. Service intervals are every 6000 miles which is more than bearable but the major service will cost you around £450.

2012 Triumph Speed Triple R Unveiled at EICMA

Tue, 08 Nov 2011

Triumphs legendary Speed Triple receives the R treatment for 2012, which means it comes equipped with top-shelf parts like hlins suspension and Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber. Judging from its looks alone, it’s plain to see that this is no ordinary Speed Triple. Triumph worked in close collaboration with hlins, to fine tune the NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock to work specifically for the Speed Triple R.

Tested: Bridgestone BT-016 Pro's

Fri, 17 Jun 2011

Two months ago I had a set of Bridgestone BT-016 Pro’s fitted to my Triumph Speed Triple. Before setting out on the new tyres, the Speed had covered 4000 miles. Now with just over 7000 on the clock the rear tyre is on the limit markers.
