Up for auction is 1997 Yamaha V-Max 1200! This VMAX was purchased in Summer 2006 with 6,000 miles on it. It is a very fast bike: professionally tuned with an aftermarket SuperTrap Exhaust. It is in excellent condition, it has never been dropped or damaged. I have had it up to speed but have always taken care not to abuse it. The 1997 is the Gunmetal Grey model and in my opinion is the best color the bike has ever come in. This is the original V-Max, produced from 1985-2009. I have always had servicing done by a professional, just prior to this listing the motorcycle was serviced and a new battery was installed. It has been garage kept since I purchased it and barely ridden the last 2 years. The motorcycle is mostly stock but it does include the supertrap exhast and a very wicked smoked black windshield. Yamaha V-max, 1200cc, 2002 with 8220 original miles (2002)
Up for auction is a low mileage, nice 2002 Yamaha V-max. I bought the bike from a salvage-yard approximately 3 years ago and rebuilt it. The bike was laid down on its right side. No motor or frame damage occurred during this accident. The radiator, water pump, right side pegs, mirror and handle bar were replaced (see attached photographs). The tip of the end of the exhaust has a small area of abrasion approximately 1" in size (see pictures). An authorized Yamaha Dealer inspected, tested and tuned the bike before I started riding it. I also put a low profile custom seat and a super brace on the front fork. I have ridden the bike lightly over the past 2 1/2 years. It is too strong a bike for me to feel comfortable riding. Note that this is a very strong running motorcycle and I recommend that only experienced riders bid on it. I have priced this bike to sell. Selling my awesome VMax. It is time. Wicked fast. Holeshot 4-1 exhaust and muffler, after market shocks (original shocks included), new rear high mileage tire, Corbin seat, and a BrakeAway cruise control. The bike has been down a couple of times as you would expect when you have a fast bike like this. It also has some years on it, so it is pretty clear the bike is used, and has scrapes and dings. The front tire still has some life but should be replaced. The engine is super fast, loud, and fun to ride. The bike occasionally has been slipping out of 2nd gear. I most often just ride up the revs in first gear and then shift to 3rd. This issue can be corrected with a tear down, but as this is no longer my daily ride, and it did not bother me, I have not done anything to correct it. Currently registered non op, Located in Palm Springs, and also listed locally. I had to relist the bike.
