    I haven’t built a bike for myself in over 3 years.  So after a horrible 2012 getting cancer again, doing chemotherapy, full body radiation and having a bone marrow transplant.  I was aching to build something I have thought about for years and use the build as therapy while I was recovering to get back into the swing of things.  Everyone knows me for building cafe bikes, well, I actually build motorcycles, any brand any model as long as they are from the 60’s or 70’s.  I wanted to build something I could take off-road or jump off a curb and actually carry stuff with me when I ride.  I bought the donor bike a few years ago and it was soo clean I was unsure if I wanted to even modify it.  But being someone who can never leave good enough or perfect alone, I had to take it to the extreme.  I was collecting many parts for the build over the next few years while it was just sat upstairs in my personal work area.  I did a little mock up here and there over the years to dial in some of the parts I wanted to use.  Then I started to spend every saturday just working on the fabrication.  I basically had to assemble and build the whole bike as it was going to be finished before it was taken apart for all the plating and coatings.  The 40 cal. ammo cans were custom mounted with 70’s Hondaline saddle bag mounts that I chopped up so they would come off and on easy.  The exhaust had to mount under the left side ammo can and the rear suspension was a lot taller so custom gearing and clearance for the chain was needed.  Every nut and bolt that I was using had to be accounted for and all the chrome had to be stripped before the zinc plating.  After mock up everything went out to powder coating, yellow zinc plating, anodizing and paint.  The ammo cans house solar panels from Goal Zero, they charge a flashlight and speakers form Goal Zero too and they charge my iPhone while I ride.  They will charge anything with a USB port.  The tail light is a model A reproduction from Lick’s cycle that I bought over 5 years ago and it pretty much sums up my 2012 year and how I felt against the world!     Offered for sale is my 1967 Honda CL 77.  This is a very nice example as you can see from the pictures.  Here are the particulars: A previous owner freshened up this bike at some point in the not-to-distant past.  At that time a new speedometer was fitted, and now shows about 950 miles.  The old speedo showed about 12,300 miles at the time that it was replaced.  Obviously, there is no way to know if that was actual, although from the condition of the bike, it is possible.   The tank and side covers were repainted in the original silver and are in excellent condition, probably nicer than when the bike was new.  The frame is original black paint and is in nice condition but does show some wear.  The fenders are original chrome and although they show some age, they are still quite nice, as you can see from the pics.  The chrome rims are in excellent condition.

    1973 Honda CL175.  Over the winter this motorcycle was disasembled and the following repairs or parts were replaced. New battery, seat cover, piston rings and cylinders honed.  Motor is still on original bore.  Previous owner had stripped spark plug hole so "Time Serts"  were installed in both spark plug holes while head was off.  Carbs were cleaned and all needles, jets and springs replaced.  New drive chain, front brake light switch, accelerator cables and exterior engine bolt kit.  Now has hex bolts for all engine covers. The gas tank was cleaned and sealed at local radiator shop.  All dents were fixed and tank and side covers sprayed with Honda Ruby Red.  New fuel petcock then installed.

    FS 1962 honda sport 50, I bought with original motor but mice were living inside bike and ate all the wires, so bought and mounted the lifan 125 cc motor, its also wired up. I bought as a project and don't have the time for it, I basically put the lifan motor on it and started it but wasn't able to drive due to throttle cable breaking and gas leak in the tank. (it leaks enough that it will need to be repaired right away, but I don't know where leak is so you'll have to pull the tank).

    I am selling my 1972 Honda CL175 with 5,784 miles.  I would call this bike, for the year, to be in excellent condition.  The original seat is flawless.  The front and rear tires, along with the battery have been replaced.  Gas tank has been cleaned inside and sealed, carbs rebuilt and it has had a complete tuneup.  The oils have been changed and the filter cleaned.  This bike starts and runs like new.  The bike has been stored inside as you can tell by the seat, the paint and the red color in the tac and speedometer are still bright.  There are some minor flaws so that you know that I am accurately representing this bike.  The front rim has a spot rust mark, the front forks on the lower part will not polish up perfect, the tank has a small blemish on the right side, the right exhaust pipe has a blue spot and there is a small rash on the muffler guard.  This bike has a clean Iowa title.  If you are serious about wanting to own a bike of this vintage this is the one. $200 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auction end.  This must be cash or through Paypal.  The remaining balance must be paid cash, cashier's check, Paypal or USPS money order.  The bike will not leave until payment has cleared.      1973 Honda CL 350 original bike with title.  Does not run, turns over freely, had running last summer, but needs a new battery and carb rebuild.  Original seat in good condition no cracks or tears, seam has pulled away 4-5 inches in back.  One air filter cover is missing emblem, other side in excellent condition.  Gas tank: no dents, good petcock, original paint, rust in tank, one pin hole near petcock was patched with JB weld.  Front fender was repaired / welded at some point in time.  Scratches on muffler guard.  6800 original miles. The bike has been in my family since the late 70's.  This was my uncle's bike, and I bought it from him in the mid 90's and rode it for several years.  This is a complete, clean, original bike.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.

Honda reported sales of 4.137 million motorcycles over its first quarter ended June 30, 2014. That represents a 2.0% increase over the results of the same quarter the previous year, which doesn’t sound like much. But then you remember that 2.0% still represents an additional 83,000 motorcycles (including ATVs), such is the scale involved in a company like Honda.
